We have to look at it in this way...
at least 2/3 must vote to make it a pass,
so max. of 1/3 can vote against, even then the resolution would pass.
1/3 of 40=13.333 so it can't be more than 13.33 at any cost !
so for ans, the greatest no. available is 13.

yes...the no. of days would be 4
but X takes 2 days more so 6 days and then to produce 2wigets X should take 12 days not 8 days.
I did a mistake just by taking 4 days
12 is the right ans.

Since both are travelling at same direction relative spedd = 60-50=10 mph In 15 min. Mary would travel = 50/4 miles (since her speed is 50 mph) So for Paul to catch up her , has to travel 50/4 miles with the relative speed which is 10 mph. T=Distance/speed=(50/4)/10=50/40 hrs=75 min=1 hr 15 min. Amit

It should be 6.
Given total area=81=> side=9
Ratio of two squares=1/4=> ratio of sides=1/2
qx=rs => rs=2 then st=1
so rs=2/3*9=6

Ans should be 'D'.
From q every 2 second the gain of people is 9-3=6
I day=24*3600 seconds
So every 2 seconds the gain is 6 people
for 24*3600 seconds gain =(24*3600)/2 * 6 =259200

Yes 1/6 should be the ans.
x^2-(by)^2=(x+by)(x-by) where b is an integer.
there are 2 items out of 4 whose product is in the aforesaid form.
Choosing one is 2/4 (4 is total no. of items )
choosing the other one is 1/3 (since repitition is not cosidered as not stated)
P=2/4 * 1/3=1/6

It should be 'D' .
If we consider 150% greater than P => (P+1.50P)=R
And if we consider P is 60% < R => R-0.60R=0.40R=P
For both the cases substituting the above values of P and R
in 0.25P=0.10R, we can find they are same for both the cases.

There are formuae somewhere i read : Area of equilateral triangle=3^1/2/4 x (side)^2 from here, side=6 (putting all given values) Also Height=3^1/2/2 X Side=>Height=3* 3^1/2 Finally , R (Circum radius)=2/3 * Height=2/3*3*3^1/2=2*3^1/2 Area of circle =Pi* R^2=Pi * (2*3^1/2)^2=12Pi Is it the right ans...

x1-x2=30,000 (assume x1 as highest and x2 as lowest)
after 10% rise in salary they would be 1.10x1 and 1.10x2
=>1.10(x1-x2)=1.10*30,000=33,000.

simplest way would be :
Given eq. x=3y-7=>y=x/3+7/3
so slope is 1/3
applying slopes formula => 1/3=b+k-b/a+3-a=>k=1
(slope=diff. of y coordinates/diff. x coordinates)
