Good that you've written to the adcoms, but are you sure you need to send the official scores by the deadline? some schools only require unofficial scores on the application and allow the official scores to arrive later.

I think what he meant was that if your recommender knows you didn't waive your right and might see his recommendation for you later, he must write good things about you, so it's less credible.

Maybe, but on the other side you have less space to tell the adcom about your accomplishments, you have to leave it for the resume and sometimes it's not enough. Last year you could write about 3 accomplishments and now only 1.

Hi,
I think that when submitting the application you can just upload a scan/copy of unofficial transcript, and only if admitted you'll need to provide the official transcripts, so you might have some more time.

HBS is not alone, check out this article on the shrinking word limits this year:

They got tired of reading the same old bla bla bla from applicants...

Take the GMAT ASAP so you'll have time to improve if needed.

It's all about where you want to work after you graduate. If you are worried about prestige, look for the program's rank in some global MBA rankings.

You can take this tool's advice, but don't take it as absolute truth. Try to understand the importance of the different elements and see where you can improve your profile. Also, maybe add schools where you are strong as safety schools.

I don't know about admission chances, but a quick search discovered this:

Looks like the main advantage is that One application allows you to apply to up to six Consortium schools.
