hey maxlamb, I applied to all of those 3 schools (as I wanted to stay in Quebec) for 2012 matriculation, and I've been accepted into all 3. I am not really sure what Concordia's criterias for scholarship are, but it was the only school that did not offer me one. McGill offers up to 50% of the tuitio...

hi appking, I would agree with PrecisionEssay that overall McGill enjoys an aura of prestige from the university as a whole (McGill has very strong medical and engineering programs). A few years ago it was even said that the business program itself was floundering. However, Desautels had made critic...

Thanks for the response! This is what I think as well.

one year or two year mba? (particular case)

Hi there, I know this question has been asked many times and it all comes down between the need for an internship (in the case of a career change) versus going back into the job market with as little lag as possible. My specific case is that I am doing a change from ad agency to brand management. My...

For that, it's a function of different things. What is your profile and why do you want to get a mba is probably a more relevant question to answer? In recent years there's been discussion that after a certain age a mba becomes less valuable. There are indications that for investment banking this ma...

hi there, HEC Montreal is a very good school in Canada and is particularly known in the Quebec region, as well as Toronto market. It is also a 1-year programme, which has it's pros and cons (pro: you get out sooner and into the job market faster, con: you wont be exposed to an internship). I can't c...

Hi Stacy, Not sure if you are familiar with Canadian schools. I am a communications professional with 10 years of experience in Canada. I have applied (and have been admitted) to 3 schools in the Montreal area and am currently deciding on the best programme for myself to attend. The schools are: McG...

hi Lanky, Thanks for your reply. For me the decision is down to between McGill and HEC Montreal. I've received an entrance award to both, but as you can imagine, HEC costs significantly less. I have done just what you suggested. I have gone through the faculty list as well as the relevant electives....

Thank you. I just received the admit decision from HEC Montreal and a very generous entrance award offer. I'll really have to decide what is best for me taking all of this into consideration. It is a tough one.

Thank you. However, I heard that McGill has more of a nation-wide and international reputation. As well, which programme fares better in terms of strategy and marketing?
