Thanks for the link, very nice! But what if the school is not willing to accept any additional materials or updates? what can you do then? Do you know which schools are more open to such updates and which aren't? If they aren't willing to take additional materials, all you can do is wait, or tell t...

If the schools you apply to do background checks, they will find out when you left, but HR doesn't necessarily disclose why, and usually will not. If they get to your boss at that company (and the boss is still there), then your boss will probably do the same, but there's a higher chance that he or ...

I need some quick advice on how to go forward with my quest to getting an MBA. I just got into UCLA Anderson! woot woot. However, I have been waitlisted at Fuqua, Texas, and Ross. I have to put a deposit down for Anderson by April 25th. The question I have is should I communicate to Fuqua, Texas, a...

Yes, include it, and you generally have to explain any gaps in your full time employement history. Given that nearly every school wants you to disclose your job history to month and year (not just year), you will have to explain why you left your jobs. I myself was laid off a job about a couple year...

Okay, I hope everything works out for the better. Though I believe that most such companies are trying to help their clients out for the best, like any other industry, there are always bad apples.

I don't really know what to say about this but I'm sorry that a consultant couldn't help you through this as well as you hoped. But at the end of the day, you have to write every essay yourself and only you can have the confidence in yourself to get into a school you want to go to. No consultant can...

Thanks. Yes - 2nd school is first choice. Early decision isn't an option. If I tell the 1st school to push out their acceptance deadline b/c they aren't my first choice, doesn't that make me look uninterested and also put me at risk if the 2nd school denies me? What happens if I accept the 1st scho...

Generally speaking, almost every school looks at your highest score.

If the decision deadlines for Brandeis and Fordham are before the 15th, then you won't have to ask, but a good number of schools will give you an extra week or two to make a final decision.

In regards to the enrollment deposit, do not pay it until your other options are all exhausted.

Yes, some schools do, including top programs like Columbia. However, from what I've seen part time programs are more likely to start in the winter term than full time ones depending on your track.

Well, you have five score reports included in the price for each GMAT test.

And it is a near monopoly (GRE is the other B School test for many schools now), but the cost of the report is something you just have to deal with in the application process if you apply to more than five programs.

I would just be myself, answer the questions truthfully and let the rest take care of itself. It may be a good thing when you scheduled the class visit at USC and then got an interview invite the next day. It does seem that prospective students who are in some type of semi-regular contact with the s...

yes. If you didn't take the GMAT yet, you pick your five programs before you take the test. Otherwise you have to pay a fee to each school.

GW has a relatively new business school building with Duques Hall and I liked the facility. I'm not that familiar with Master of Accounting program. At least with the MBA program, GW is not a Top 10 school, but it is also a respected institution in the Washington DC area. It also has a top notch int...

I don't really know much about Masters of Accounting programs that much, but I live near DC and have researched the schools for their MBA programs. American has a small business school, and it has a good reputation within the Washington area, and the general reputation of AU is very good. However, a...
