sudi760mba - What helped me most was constant practice. I did problems every day. I bought OG11 and worked through all the quant problems twice and then through only the last 50-75 problems another 2 times. For me, this was the best practice. I took the Manhattan GMAT tests which were good, but the ...

Frankly, I did very little studying for verbal. I was already around 80% in that. My main concern was for Quantitative where I was able to improve my score dramatically.

From 570 to 690 - Beat the GMAT!!

I first took the GMAT a year ago and scored a 570. My plans are to pursue a Phd in Finance. I have considerable work experience that will be very beneficial, but I knew I wanted a GMAT around 700 to make me competitive at the best schools. I just got back from the test center and I scored a 690. I k...

I don't think the answer is exactly any of those listed. I think if B had 2!3!3! in the denominator than it would be correct. On one side you have 3! ways the 3 men can be arranged and on the other side you have 2! ways the 2 men can be arranged. You have 3 more places that can be arranged 3! ways. ...

I just divided 80/3 = 26.66...

So, that's the minimum # of students per aide. Then multiply 26.66 x 5 = 133.3 which is the minimum # of students for 5 aides.

Is there some quick way you found if 34^4, 36^4 and 38^4 is divisible by 32? Did you just work it out or is there a faster way? Thanks

Is there a faster way to approach this problem? It doesn't seem like we would be expected to work it out for all the digits. Additionally, just multiplying it out for 9^9 and finding the square root of that would take considerable time. What are the <2 minute approaches?

An easier way to solve this is just plug in a number. If we say x is 10 miles, It would have been 10 min. + 5 min. = total of 15 min. If it had been 60 mph the entire time it would be = total of 10 min. 15 is 50% greater than 10. Now all we have to do is put 10 in for x in each of the options and wh...

I also don't understand why B doesn't work. 'Publication of' doesn't make sense.

Dalwow, it's great to hear that you're scores are improving. If you look at my test scores found in my signature you'll see a mysterious 650 that appeared on an exam surrounded by mid 500 scores. That was an anomaly that I think is similar to your concern, but if you look at my later scores, there ...

Is this MGMAT accurate?

To first give a little background - the first time I took the GMAT I got a 570. At the time I was being ridiculous, and took it without studying. It has been several months and I have taken time to study every day. I purchased the MGMAT practice exams and have been periodically taking those while al...
