Hi all, Perhaps I may be having one of those days where the brain is not fucntioning efficiently, but is there a quicker way to determine that n MUST be odd to ensure N^3 - 1 is ALWAYS divisible by 4? prime factorization is 2^3,3,7
why is the ans E when 14 (2x7) and 12 (2x2x3) is divisible by 168?

No problems now. thanks.. made the problem alot harder then I needed by trying to come up with a multiple of 24 and 16, rather than squaring 24.. all good.

Elementary question but how to dervive 6^2 from (24)^2/16.
AND
(24)^2/4 = (12)^2
AND

Exponents and Roots
Solve using the properties of roots:
(4sqroot(64))/(4sqroot(4))
= 4sqroot (16)
= 2
Understand how to get to 2, but could someone explain mathmatically how to go from 4sqroot (16) to 2.
