Well the issue is that I find it hard to master the concepts truly 100% in-depth I guess. And, Yes, I make silly mistakes here and there. Do you think 2 hours a day will be enough to raise the score to 45 in two weeks?(That is If I really work efficiently).I don't rally think about the burnout. I'm ...

How to achieve 45 in Quantitative

Hey guys. I just wanted to ask what can you advice me in order to raise my quant from 41 to 45(which is my target score). I have only 2 weeks left and I'm planning to devote 4 hours a day to quant. Here's the list of topics that I'm going to concentrate most. Ratios Factors and multiples Systems of ...

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the reply.

I agree with you on everything. I probably knew in the back of my head that this would be the answer. So I'll probably try to improve on CR and RC too...

How far can one go in verbal

O.K. This question might sound a bit naive. I understand that there's no definite answer to it. But still, can I reach a score of 40 in verbal if I answer all the SC questions right and let's say 50% of CR and 50% of RC questions right? I already know quite well that it's the difficulty of questions...

Thanks very much Ian.Here's a question I got on the gmatprep test. It goes like this -->2^(4-1)^2/2^3-2 and this equals 2^(3)^2/2=2^9/2=2^8 and here only 3 is in brackets and not (3^2) I think you may have written your brackets in the wrong place. There is an important difference between the followi...

o.k here's my solution. factor out 2 to be left with 2(20+21+22+23...all the way to 30) and divide by 2. 2's will cancel and you're left with 20+21+22.... Now multiply 30 by 31 to get 930. than you should multiply 19 by 20 to get 380 and subtract 380 from 930 to get 550. This 550 is the sum of all e...

Well what's wrong with the first one? We just take 2 to the power of 2 to get 4 and than cube 4 to get 64. according to me, both are wrong 2^(2)^3 is same as 2^2^3. (we start from the brackets, but only 2 is in the bracket, so we don't know whether 2^2 is calculated first or 2^3. brackets should be ...

Recursive Exponents

Here's what I'm confused about. Let's say 2^2^3 and 2^(2)^3 These two expressions are different right? So in the first one we would simply take 2 to the power of 2 and get 4, and then take 4 to the power of 3 and get 64 right? In the second one we would first take 2(the one that is in brackets) to t...

Two different uses of but rather

Here are two very similar(in the sense that both test the same thing) SC questions, one form OG verbal and other from the veritas prep test. OG: The energy source on the Voyager 2 is not nuclear reactor,in which atoms are actively broken apart; rather a kind of nuclear battery that uses natural radi...
