Randy can run π meters every 2 seconds. If the circular track has a radius of 75 meters, how many minutes does it take Randy to run twice around the track?

A. 150 seconds
B. 300 seconds
C. 600 seconds
D. 1200 seconds
E. 22500 seconds

The OA is C.

I'm really confused with this PS question. Please, can any expert assist me with it? Thanks in advanced.

Speed of Randy = π/2 meters/second

Length of twice the track = 2*Circumference = 2*2Ï€r = 4Ï€*75 = 300Ï€ meters

Time taken to complete twice the track = 300Ï€ / (Ï€/2) = 600 seconds.

The correct answer: C

Hope this helps!

The circumference of the circular track is 2 x π x 75 = 150π, and Randy's rate is π/2 meters per second. So it will take Randy 2 x 150π / (π/2) = 300π x 2/π = 600 seconds to run around the track twice.

Answer: C
