Hi there - wondering if anyone has heard of an applicant being accepted into a PT program and then asking the adcom to consider him/her for FT in the next round?

No decent school (Chicago, NW, Haas) allows that, they want people who are committed to the PT entirely. Haas allows PT to switch to FT only after 1 year of PT, and then only after you apply to the FT and provide two 1-page essays on how your circumstances have changed such that a FT makes more sense for you.

My research has led me to believe that this is possible, but I'm just curious if anyone has heard of this before.

I have never heard of precedent. I also don't think it is easy to do.
