Hi Linda,

I guess you are asking me that what i want to do after MBA (career plans etc).

I want to specialise in marketing and/or finance. Then I want to join a consultancy firm. In the later part of my career, I would like to start my own enterprise - starting a series of schools in my native state(which is very poor), and develop a sound educational society.
I guess I have answered specifically your answer. If not, please reply!

With the possible exception of Cornell and ISB, I think you are aiming a little high. I think your chances at Kellogg, Stanford, MIT and CBS are slim. Also consider UNC, Indiana, UT, and Emory.

Best,
Linda

LBS and INSEAD -- stretch.

Yale, Duke, and CMU -- competitive.

Thanks for the response!

From your responses, I make out that I am competetive for colleges in rank 12-18. Right ?

After some more thoughts, I have selected some schools as given below:

Dream
Harvard, Wharton, Kellogg,

i think I can do it
Duke, NYU, Darden, Cornell,

Safety
UNC(Kenan Flagler) OR Tepper, ISB

Most important: I have to get into some or other B-School in this season.

Hence, please review again and suggest! (Especially on the pragmatic and safe sectors.

(I have applied to HBS because I have always dreamt of going there. Hence, I am going all out for it.)

In my book, UNC and Tepper are in the competitive category for you -- not the safety category. For safeties, consider Indiana as mentioned above. Other possible safety schools: Babson, Purdue, U of Maryland.

Best,
Linda
