The use of lie detectors is based on the assumption that lying produces emotional reactions in an individual that. in turn, create unconscious phYSiological responses.
(A) that, in turn, create unconscious physiological responses
(8) that creates unconscious physiological responses in turn
(C) creating, in turn, unconscious physiological responses
(D) to create, in turn, physiological responses that are unconscious
(E) who creates unconscious physiological responses in turn
[spoiler]OA A
My doubt is
OA is saying that in C, without a comma, creating is not referring to responses.
If C has a comma,
The use of lie detectors is based on the assumption that lying produces emotional reactions in an individual, creating in turn, unconscious phYSiological responses.
then will it be correct?
Here also, creating should refer to lying, am I correct ? please clarify.

IMO B.
As you said the problem in C is the absence of comma before creating. For a "-ing" modifier if no comma is present before the start of modifier then the modifiers modifies the noun immeidately preceding it. If comma is present then the modifier modifies the previous clause. In C creating modifies individual
correct C: The use of lie detectors is based on the assumption that lying produces emotional reactions in an individual, creating, in turn, unconscious physiological responses.

The Plural "Reactions" call for plural verb "Create",thats why A is correct and not B.paes wrote:The use of lie detectors is based on the assumption that lying produces emotional reactions in an individual that. in turn, create unconscious phYSiological responses.

C changes the meaning, reader may think that "emotional reactions in person who is creating unconscious physiological responses".

comma + ing modifier is a modifier which changes the complete claue before it.
So in above sentence c, creating should modify to lying.
How it can modify to s physiological responses.
Hence it should also be a incorrect choice.
