need new GMAT strategy

by who » Sat Jun 16, 2007 8:23 pm
After bombing the GMAT (390) yes very disturbing! I need any help I can get I just want to get into graduate school although I would like to get into Oklahoma University. I have a strong track record on testing I just don't know what happend on this test. I used Kaplan for a majority of my studying and GMAT prep

My scores ranged from 390-490 and I got a 520 on diagnostic quiz from Kaplan.

For a strategy how does this sound:

Manhattan GMAT prep and Official Guide to GMAT 11th edition?

Looking to retake test late July.

You haven't provided much details around your prep strategy--take some time to read through the GMAT blog, https://beatthegmat.blocked, and GMAT Resource Wiki, https://www.beatthegmat.com/wiki/

You need to have a strategy to systematically identify your weaknesses and improve upon them. Read the resources suggested above to get a sense of how to structure your prep. Best of luck!

I am working full time 8-5 job so studying is limited to night. Math and English are my two biggest weaknesses. Why can't they test history, geography, or sports trivia now that's a test.

I just want a respectable score anywhere around 500 is respectable to me. I would take any of those scores that some people on this board consider not very good.

I am going to take a week off and order the follow materials, a huge mistake I made at first by not ordering the Official Guides.

OG 11
OG Quant and Verbal sections
and take a Manhattan GMAT prep course

For a month I plan to study two hours a night and then retake the GMAT and see what happens after that.
