I think it should be B
C alters the meaning of the sentence
D starts with with a modifier which in this case makes the sentence seem awkward
E introduces the continous verb (rekindling) unnecessarily and is grammatically wrong
Btw A n B
I chose B since it uses past tense just like the first part of the question while A uses present.
I am still unsure .
Correct me if I am wrong . Whats the OA?

I am also not sure between A and B. I particularly didn't like "once a meteor shower has been observed" in B. Why the passive voice when people are the subjects? I am inclined towards A. Request experts to comment.ankit0411 wrote:I am still not convinced why B wins over A.neelgandham wrote:IMO B

What IS KNOWN about many people is that they HAVE REKINDLED their faith.vk_vinayak wrote:I am also not sure between A and B. I particularly didn't like "once a meteor shower has been observed" in B. The act of rekindling is NOT happening at the same time as the act is KNOWN.
In A, are known TO REKINDLE (present infinitive) implies that the two events are happening at the same time.
To convey the proper sequence, we need the PERFECT INFINITIVE:
Many people are known TO HAVE REKINDLED their faith.
