Gina Allison- GMAT Instructor & Faculty Manager
Gina Allison has been a Kaplan teacher since 2008 and was named Teacher of the Year in her first year working with students. She has worked with thousands of GMAT and GRE students in person and in live online, advanced, verbal-intensive, and math-intensive classrooms. She especially enjoys one-on-one tutoring, where she can truly get a sense of each student’s strengths and challenges and custom-tailor her advice and approach, whether this means helping her students develop realistic study plans or convincing them that Data Sufficiency really is the best question type. Gina has shared some of her study tips and advice on the Kaplan GMAT Blog, and has managed Kaplan’s GRE and GMAT accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
Gina earned her BS in Psychology and her MBA in Management, and has worked in educational management since earning her Master’s degree. When not wrapped up in all things Kaplan, Gina is an avid reader, library enthusiast, animal lover, and scary movie fan. Her favorite recent bookstore find was a kids’ book called “What’s Your Angle, Pythagoras?”
In former lives a ballet dancer, jewelry maker, and professional makeup artist, Gina now grows a variety of chile peppers and makes sauce so spicy hot that she has to give it away. Alternate life fantasies include surfer, statistician, and CIA agent. Her high school nemesis was geometry, but now she loves it.
