Looking for MOOCs

by Ruca » Tue May 07, 2013 5:49 pm
I will be joining a program soon and got admitted but as a requirement I need about 8-10 ECTS points (about 250-300 hours) in either economics, management, finance or marketing. I was told I could do this through online courses and I have been browsing for some good ones since. Does anybody have some experience or tips where to look? I would prefer courses where you can learn at your own pace and, if possible, free.

Thanks in advance

Hi Ruca - Congrats on getting accepted to school!

We're not aware of any free courses that will give you the credits you need. Most of the MOOCs do not even offer certificates of completion, though some are starting to do that. However you'll need to ask your school if they would accept that as part of this requirement.

Many U.S. schools offer online courses - you can check out UC Berkeley Extension and NYU Continuing Education, as two examples we can name. There are lots and lots of them. Some require proctored exams so you'll need to check into that as well.

Good luck with it!
