A.Largest of all land carnivores, weighing up to 1500 pounds and measuring
B.Largest of all land carnivores, weighing up to 1500 pounds and it measures
C.Largest of all land carnivores, it weighs up to 1500 pounds and measures
D.It is largest of all land carnivores, weighing up to 1500 pounds and measuring
E.It is largest of all land carnivores, weighs up to 1500 pounds and measures

OA:
A
In Option D & E does "it" refers to "Alaskan brown bear"?

If so then why option D & E are wrong

D and E are wrong because you cannot join two clause without a connector.

In the correct one A, both "weighing" and "measuring" are present participle modifier, modifying the subject "Alaskan brown bear".

Option E:
It is largest of all land carnivores, weighs up to 1500 pounds and measures - This is one complete sentence
the Alaskan brown bear is a close relative of grizzly bear. - This is another complete sentence.

You cannot add these two with a comma.

Same is the case with option D
