A new telescope scheduled for completion in 2012 is greatly anticipated by astronomy enthusiasts because engineers claim that the machine will allow the night sky to be observed more clearly than never before and stargazers using the telescope will be able to see constellations that cannot presently be observed- almost perfectly.

A observed more clearly than never before and
B more than ever before clearly visible as
C more clearly observed than ever before and that
D more clearly visible as never before while
E clearly observed more than ever before so

IMO C.

never before does not sound correct. It should be ever before to emphasize something that has not yet been accomplished.
C maintain parallelism.

C is right.

1. the right idiom is more than ever before.
2. conjunction and is required
3. that is required after and to maintain parallelism.

Only C meets these requirements. OA please.

-My 2cents -

a] than never before is wrong usage

b] uses right phrase "more than ever" but sentence needs "that" to be parallel with -"claim that x and that y"

c] Fits Perfectly

d] changes the phrase used in original structure, could have been right if observed wasnt replaced with visible

e] to be clearly observed more than ever....is a clumsy formation.

So IMO - C Fits the bill.

Pradeep, could you explain why to use spoiler, once you reach to the answer and posting opinions? I think spoiler must be used by person who is posting the OA, besides question.
