If vertices of a triangle have coordinates (-1,0), (4,0), and (0,A) , is the area of the triangle greater than 15?
(1) A < 3
(2) The triangle is a right triangle

A (-1,0), B (4,0), and C (0,A)
Distance between A and B = 5
Third side= ?

From 1, A<3
If , A = 2, then area = 1/2 * 2* 5 = 5, No

If A =-10, then area = 1/2 * 10*5 = 25 Yes
hence not sufficient.

From 2, the trianlge is right triangle, so the sides can only be 3,4, and 5
area = 1/2 * 3* 4 = 6
area > 15
so, No
So Statement 2 alone is sufficient.

So, answer is B.
