Last few days.. i have got kind of burnt out.. distracted, depressed.. etc etc.. ordered some pizza. ate some icecream...

i am preparing to retake my test at the end of the month..

gmat affects you pschologically.. like nothing else..

any tips how to maintain focus, not get distracted, maintain calm, overcome anxiety, sadness, depression and other feelings during this journey..

i am sure some of you went through sleepless nights, broken down at time.. and overcame this battle..

any tips are welcome..

Stay strong!

You will have your hard days.

I would recommend keeping a consistent schedule with eating and sleeping.

God knows though- I'm only a couple days away from my exam and I'm freaking out!

Sometimes, we do just get burned out. When that happens, take a day off. Do something that helps you to relax / burn off nervous energy. Exercise? Going out with friends? Seeing a movie? Whatever works for you! Listen to your body / mind.

I believe Eric has an article my company wrote linked in the Resources section somewhere - Stress Management for the GMAT. Go take a look and see if anything in there works for you!

Haha Manhattan GMAT Challenge questions did give me the yikes when i first saw them. To their credit they do post a disclaimer of some sort roughly stating that most people will get most questions wrong or so.

According to avoiding stress, depression. Get away from this forum for a couple of days. Avoid anything to do with GMAT for a couple of days. Slowly slide back into the GMAT rhytm. Also do your relaxation stuff that Stacy mentioned...

Oh, don't use the challenge problems as any indicator! Half of them are what we call 800+ questions - they're way harder than anything you'd ever see on the test! Definitely don't let those get you down. :)
