GMAT Retake -Common mistakes to avoid

by soni_pallavi » Sun Dec 16, 2012 1:57 pm
Hi

My date for a GMAT retake is getting closer and due to pressures of work Im not able to devote as much time as I previously did during my first attempt.

Id like to know what are the common mistakes to avoid in a retake so that I dont end up getting a lower score than my previous one??

Thanks

If you mean specific to certain question types like -- what are the most common mistakes that people make with data sufficiency problems? or something like that we can help you those...

But the most common reason that people actually end up with a much lower score is a faulty strategy.

Here are a couple of articles that can help you with the proper strategy.

Keep in mind that the GMAT is a test of your math and verbal skills AND it's a test of your test-taking skills. So, in addition to strengthening any areas of weakness you may have, be sure to keep taking practice tests to work on your endurance and your time management skills.

Regarding time management: If you're interested, we have a free GMAT time management video at https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gener ... es?id=1244
