I need help with the Quant section just took a Manhattan CAT and score V34 Q20 - my guess is if I want to see a significant improvement in my score it's going to have to come in the Quant section. I'm particularly struggling with Algebra. Any advice?

I dont want to sound rude but from your score I have to tell you, you are very low. I don't know how much you have studied or not. The good news is that is not that hard and the worst thing is over you will not score lower than you have done.

I will recommend you to read all the Manhattan quant guides , they helped me improve from 20's to 50's.
But prepare for at least 1 month to get everything set on your brain.
