Dear frinds,

Please rate my essay, however this is just a second essay I have written. Your feedback will help me to crack AWA..

"It is unrealistic to expect individual nations to make, independently, the sacrifices necessary to conserve energy. International leadership and worldwide cooperation are essential if we expect to protect the world's energy resources for future generations."

Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion stated above. Support your views with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.

The author of this issue suggests that conservation of energy would be more effective under the collective efforts by involving many nations rather than individual contribution of fewer nations. In this discussion, I would agree with the former statement and refute the latter one. Since the conservation of energy has been considered a serious matter of concern across the globe, it has become extremely important for all the nations to give it a thought for the future. However, there has been a very thin line between supply and demand concepts especially, when it comes to energy. Various studies have been conducted to present analysis for the amount of availability of natural resources over the rate of consumption of energy. Given the fact that few of the nations have been able achieve successes in regards with preserving energy; it however, does not solve the very global issue of conservation of energy.

Moreover, the developed nations which have developed technologies of conservation of energy should share their achievements with the globe. For example, Spain and Germany are the two globally known leaders of solar power, a green and renewable energy that can be suitable for other nations as well. Such sharing will not only improve the current energy crises globally, but will also yield revenues for the nations those who provide their technologies to other nations, which in return can enhance the boundaries of their researches to consolidate a concrete alternative source of energy.
In addition, the nations who are sacrificing all alone for the conservation of energy in this era of globalisation do not only sacrifice on limiting their resources, but also they face various issues that can impact their economic growth. Since the world is globalised, it is bound to have a repercussion of various elements that may originate in one nation but can impact others as well. For example, china consumes 18% of overall power consumed in the world. While china is constantly catering to an increased demand for its manufactured goods, it is also leading to an increase in its power consumption. This in turn is resulting in higher prices of the goods being bought by other countries. Hence, an increase in demand increases power consumption that results in price rise for the importer nations. Energy can be conserved in China by providing an alternative source of energy and issues that can impact global economies can be avoided by sharing.

International leadership such as United States of America or any other influential nation for that matter should step in to emphasise on energy conservation across the globe. Since an influential and powerful leadership can influence other nations, the purpose of conservation of energy can be solved. For example, WHO which has been led by America all across the world which is concerned with the health related issues and have been able to achieve several milestones across the globe.
To conclude, the conservation of energy issue from a larger perspective cannot be solved by only few individual nations sacrificing on other sources of energy. It can be resolved by an impressive leadership that can influence alternative sources of energy all across the world by not only providing solutions but also through co-operation between the nations, both developed and underdeveloped.
