what is the median number of employees assigned per project for the projects at company z.
1 25 % of the projects at company z have 4 or more employees assigned to the project.
2 35% of the projects at company Z have 2 or fewer employees assigned to the project.

answer given as C
I saw the explanation
i notice that he assumes the there are 100-(25+35) =40 % project haveing 3 employees ..how did he draw the conclusion that the rest 40% have 3 employees , no where it is given?
I though answer was E.
pls explain[/spoiler]

25% projects have <=2 employees
35% projects have >=4 employees
So rest of 40% of project have to have 3 employees, there is no other possibility. Think over it you will get it:)

Any project can have 0 or more number of employees assigned per project.
Statement 1 gives 25%projects have 4 or more employees assigned to them which covers numbers from 4 to any number. - Does not say anything about the remaining 75% projects which can have a significant impact on median - NOT Sufficient
Statement 2 says 35% projects have 2 or less than three employees assigned to them..which covers the numbers from 0 to 2 - Remaining 65% cannot be derived from this so NOT Sufficient
If we combine both the
35% Projects - 0 to 2 employees per project
25% projects - 4 or more employees per project. SO
Remaining 40% - 3 employees per project Hence Median is 3 and ANS is C
