We care about X, so let's simplify the expression by subtracting 333 from each portion:srisanj4 wrote:If 44<333-X<66, which of the following could be true?

-289 < -X < -267
and let's multiply by -1:
289 > X > 267
So:
Units digit COULD be 3 (e.g. 283)
Tens digit CANNOT be 3
Hundreds digit CANNOT be 3
