Wow! Great job and congratulations! But I think we may have taken different tests. My GMAT's quant section was *harder* than the Manhattan GMAT!

Congratulations! You got the exact same breakdown as me. I admit it annoys me when people with good scores complain about how bad they are. It is dismissive of the 9 out of 10 people that you beat out. Beating 9 out of 10 companies in the business world certainly isn't a bad track record, so it's pr...

Hey jeorryb. I was actually recently admitted into the Goizueta evening program! I think with a 640 you stand a decent chance as long as the rest of your profile is pretty solid because 640 is their median score. As far as timing goes, I recommend that you take a lot of practice tests (beginning to ...

I think that first post sounds awfully like an ad, too. I mean...it mentions "high priced" gmat companies, but doesn't offer a name? It's like a commercial where a company compares its own offerings to "the other guys".

I took it several months ago at the age of 32. I don't think that being far-removed from academics will negatively impact your score. In fact, I think your verbal skills will be stronger than someone younger because those develop over time. I highly recommend the Manhattan GMAT books for the math se...

Letters of Recommendation and application content

Hi, Does anybody know whether schools contact employers with details from applications? I'm in the process of writing essays and naturally would prefer my employers not to read some content about long-term goals and the like. And I am going to get letters of recommendations from my superiors. If rec...

I feel like this was directed to me because I scored 50 points below my practice scores (700 vs 750-760)! However, because I'm looking only at local, part-time programs, my real GMAT is actually in the 80th-90th percentile of all the schools' part-time programs that I'm applying to. Still, because I...

I had a similar experience a couple weeks ago. I scored 750/760 on GMAT Prep 2 (attempts 1 and 2) and was scoreing around 50 in quant and 42-44 verbal. But on the real thing I bombed the quant side and wound up with a 700 (44Q/42V). I was bummed that I fell short of my expectations, but I also reali...

Hi Guys.. When I started with my verbal section,at around 15th one I got CR questions of 'Method of reasoning','evaluate the argument'.again from 36-39 i got this type of ques..I think, these questions appear when you are at high end of scoring. Is it true?If yes,can i put my case to GMAC for re-eva...

Btw... the good enough score is always near the average score of that skool...N i dont think many skools hav avg scores more than 710...not more than 5 i guess.. FYI, According to US News and World Reports, 11 schools have average GMAT scores over 710, but just barely. For example, MIT is 711 and W...

Nice score! I am sure you are glad to be done! Good Luck with the applications! Thanks. I would characterize my score as satisfactory because, from a pragmatic perspective, it should serve my purposes well, but it ultimately fell a bit short of my realistic expectations. I would be more satisfied h...

You know, I took mine yesterday and also scored quite a bit lower than my practice tests. Maybe they decided to make a "hard day" just to screw some of us over!

700 (Q44 V42): At'll Do, Pig. At'll Do.

I took the GMAT for the first time yesterday and scored a respectful 700. This is a bit lower than I expected based on my recent GMAT Prep Practice tests, which placed me in the 750-760 range, but I'm satisfied with the score and will not retake because I am only targeting part-time programs in the ...
