thanks Eric.

The Oxford MBA is a one year program though so I can't get a summer job between years 1 and 2.

Do you have contacts to Oxford Alumni through this blog. They might be able to help me too.

Thanks

MBA in Oxford - Work in Canada

Hey All, I wanted to know that if I pursue an MBA at Oxford, how can I best help myself get a job in Canada after the MBA. Obviously most of Oxfords jobs will be in Europe. I realise that I wil have to do my own networking, but I am really looking for my chances of getting a job back home. Is an Oxf...

Hey all, I am in the exact same boat!!!
I had a strategy for every type of question and I didn't feel nervous in the exam. I didn't get any of the standard questions!!! Ended up with a 610 when I was expecting a 700.

Don't know how to approach the 2nd round of my studying.

Hi Prasanna, I am going to review all my previous CATs and really work hard at analysing my mistakes. The problem is that I went into the exam with good strategies for all the question types, but especially in the quant, I did not get any of the typical math questions....this confuded me and I am tr...

only 610 - Not Happy - How Can I improve????

It seems like I'm in the same boat as a lot of people. I was shocked at my score. I was scoring between 600 and 640 on the MGMAT CAT's and got 670 on the GMAT Prep CAT before doing the actual test. I felt confident and I wasn't nervous during the test. Don't know what happened? I was told that the M...

I took the GMAT prep about a month ago and got 570. Since then I have been doing Manhattan tests on which I am getting avg 600. I have done only the first GMATprep because I am saving the second one for just before the actual test. Since I am not working now, I dedicated every day/(6 - 8 hours) (Mon...

I haven't taken it before. This would be my first time. I guess the worry is always that twice is not sufficient and I would have to take it a third time!!!! :? Following our discussions I thought about just delaying it by one week, which would give me that little extra time to practice after the Ma...

Hi, I have been analysing my results from my practice tests and what I find is that I can do the majority of the questions I get wrong afterwords only. During the test I seem to pick the one answer that is slight different from the wrong one. This is clearly evident in the SC & CR. I'll choose C...

Please HELP!! Not getting anywhere!!

I moved this post from another area to this correct area. Thanks I just finished my 3rd Manhatan GMAT prep simulation and I scored 590. The last two times over the last week I got 610 and 600, respectively. Although these scores are an improvement from when I took my first exam a month ago (510) I ...

I'm in a similar boat

Hey Chengx, I am in a similar situation to you. I have never taken the test, but like you, I have done a lot of examples and I still cannot seem to nail this exam. I am underperforming in my simulations because of timing and because I just can't seem to answer the questions correctly. Eric and Stace...

Hi Stacey, I have just completed 40 questions using the diagramming technique (using books I just purchased i.e. latest ones) and it took me about 3min/question. The diagramming technique seems to take more time than we have per question. Is there something I can do to improve my time? I have also h...

courses are a possibility, but the ones offered here tend to focus more on the quant rather than teh verbal, which is where I feel I need the most help. I have looked into doing the online course. perhaps I can achieve the same result with that?
