(Accepted to Haas) Thanks to Stacy & BeattheGmat
I would like to thank all of you for your encouragement and critical advice. I just got an offer from Haas, which I accepted. I was initially bummed out over a 650 GMAT, but instead of obsessing over the score I pulled together an application that was competitive. Stacy's advice to submit a third le...

Explanation for poor GMAT verbal score
Hi Stacy, I am pretty close to the deadline for Haas part-time and starting to debate one point. In the essay, if my academic records are a true reflection, I decided to explain my poor verbal GMAT score. I feel that my GMAT verbal score (V 28 51%) doesn't truly reflect my verbal and written communi...

Thanks so much Eric
I think my problem was that I peaked two weeks ago. I was scoring high 600s in the Kaplan. In the GMAT Prep my scores were 690 and 700. My quants were always around 45 to 49. This is really a low verbal score for me. I think I bought the Manhattan SC two weeks ago as I wanted to kick up my SC a notc...

Confused and mad : Got a 650 - should I retake?
Hi All, Well before I left for the test today I was confident that I was going to crack a 700+ score. During the exam I felt it was headed in the right direction. Math kept getting harder and harder and I felt really good. When verbal started I was feeling pretty good; and I finished in time. Then I...

Answer is 5/16
answer is 5/16
Choosing 3 days out of 5 is 5C3 = 5!/(3! x 2!) = 10
3 days of rain = P(A) = 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8
and 2 days of no rain is P(B) = (1-1/2)X(1-1/2) = 1/4
P(A and B) = P(A) X P(B) = 1/32
So total number of such cases is 10 hence probability is
10 x 1/32 = 5/16

answer is D
Answer is D.
Original amount per person E/12
New amount E/(12-n)
So increase is E/(12-n) - E/12 = (12E - 12E + nE)/12(12-n) = nE/12(12-n)

Answer is C.
if (r-s) is divisible by 3 then p is an integer.
If r is divisible by 735 then r is divisible by 3.
and if r+s is divisible by 3 then s is factor of 3. which means subtracting s from r would also keep it divisible by 3, hence r-s is divisible by 3.
Am i right?
