Thanks a lot for your response. I understand it much more now. As a non native English speaker, I considered V-ing only as gerund. I forgot that it could also be an adjective. It makes a lot more sense now! Great explanation!

I would go with B too. However, something is bothering me. "they" in "they are blurred and indistinct", could refer either to the industries or to the lines of competition, and therefore will make the sentence confusing. Am I right or it is just my interpretation?

Thanks for the answer Kel ! I do agree about E as the answer. I just don't understand what are the values or p and q in either cases + combine. But most important, I don't get WHY the book give those values of q and p as the answers. And I think that "seanceserene" has the same problem. So...

So basically when a question contains pretty much "AND" I should be looking for the Primes in the Venn Graph (cf MGMAT Guide #1) I use for the GCF. Correct ?
