I read in some blog (so not sure how true) that 730 is the avg score for Indian male, hence y question about Gmat.
Also, for people with masters degree, which GPA is considered - grad or undergrad? it probably is not importatn for people with lot of work experience.

Trial and error works well but here is a systematic approach. Lets assume that when x is divided by a, reminder is r1 and when y is divided by b, reminder is r2 x = N1*a + r1 ; N1- some integer y = N2*b + r2 ; N2 - some integer You are asked that given, r1, r2,a, b: can we find out reminder of x*y w...

Not an expert but "passage" is right.
Also in A, "allowing companies.." seem to refer to the complete action of "passage of the Act which is wrong. "which alows" is clearly modifying the "Act" which has been passed.

reading GMAT scores?
How are scores in parenthesis supposed to be interpreted- 730(Q47, V45)?
I understand that they reflect how many we got right. But are they easily calculated or helpful in getting to understanding your performance?
Thanks

Punit,
"It is" can be eliminated as it makes the choice(in passive voice) wordy
I think that a possessive pronoun can refer to a noun

They are similar triangles, so the bases and height of the triangle has the same ratio, say x.
ratio of areas = ratio of (1/2*base*ht)= square(x)=2(given)
So, x = root2
OA is (c)

eq(1) says x = -3y meaning x and y have opp. sign
without loss of generality, given eq can be re-written as
x-y=16
with 2 eqns you can solve for x,y
eq(2) along wiht given eq will only yield |x| and |y| and will not tell you anything about their sign
so eq(1) is sufficient!

my ans C
among is used to compare more than2 things
between is used to compare 2 things
so, we need "among diff species" and "among individuals"
we are comparing "variations in lifespans" -plural
so it needs the pronoun -those
OA is C
