I have heard that while an MBA at some schools can definitely get you ahead, at certain schools it can launch you into the stratosphere and keep you there in perpetuity (provided you work on your end for it). So I wil...

First of all, congrats. I actually read somewhere that verbal scores are a better predictor of first-year academic performance (this is what GMAT is intended to measure, in theory). As you can tell, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, as 97% + 81% = 96%. It looks like you are strong on b...

Hi ptgbeauregard, Congrats on scoring such a wonderful figure! Plz help me in deciding how should I start for the exam. What I have finalised is to initially start with OG11 and then to go further on subject basis. Would request you to add something useful based on your experience which can help me...

I just wanted to know what study material you used to fill the gaps that you identified using diagnostic tests. Let's say if you identified that number properties are your weakness, then where did you study the number properties basics. Well, to be honest, the GMATFocus helped me more by illustrati...

Thanks...I definitely took your advice about visiting the test center the day before (I was fortunate enough to be within wlaking distance) and cutting out alcohol in the days leading up to the test. Which means I've earned a few tonight -- at least that's the way I see it.

I like the organization and content of your essay. However, I would pay more attention to grammar. For instance, you have a number of occasions where there should be a "the" in front of a subject, most notably at the beginning of the third and fourth paragraphs (the author). Otherwise, ver...

YOUR RESPONSE: The present jobs of white-collar employees are more mentally intensive and less physically intensive than they were in the past . I agree with the author that (removed comma) this makes the employee less productive in the long run. Without a required amount of physical activity, empl...

GMATFocus has some pretty tough (albeit a limited amount of) quant questions. An added bonus is that it is timed and it has the same GUI as the actual GMAT, except that you don't confirm your answer when you're done. It will also give you a breakdown of your performance in a number of different area...

Without being too redundant, I think the more you practice the more comfortable you will become in your own skin. This means that you will be able to realize what questions are worth spending your time on. If I see a really difficult question that I am not comfortable with, I blast through it, makin...

This happened to me too. If you go back and look at the questions, you'll see that a lot of them weren't even on the test you took.
