I felt this problem to be pretty simple.
question asks whether |x|=y-z? rephrasing it gives : -x=y-z ? or x=y-z ?
1. gives us x+y=z
=> x=z-y
=> -x=y-z
2. x<0 so it is negetive
both together gives us the information needed, i.e x is negetive , hence -x=y-z is true

MGMAT test questions are not tough to solve, they just take too much time to solve,because of which it becomes difficult to finish the quant portion.When one does OG throughly and is used to solving official problems..manhattan questions seem a little off.

"like' compares nouns while 'as' compares verbs. The way option A reads i think it means : college students who are similar to the students of earlier generations. makes no sense.

I really cannot understand how the answer is C! 1. says x intercpet is twice of y , so for a line with equation y=mx+c , y intercept = c and x intercept = -c/m so we have -c/m = 2c and here c's sign does not matter so m=-1/2 2.We dont need this information (??) so answer according to me should be A

My guess is that the answer is E. We know that slope is negetive and passes through (-5,r) the question is to find the x intercept. let k's equation be y=mx+c , x intercept is the value when y=0 , so plugging in y=0 in the equation we get 0=mx+c or x=-c/m , and the quesiton is wheter -c/m is positiv...

Several could mean that maybe even 99% of the passengers are taking connecting flights via greentown and if thats the case then maybe even 1% reduction in the number of scheduled flights might be impossile,because the flight HAVE to come to greentown so that the passengers take thier next flight.
