Yup, my avatar is a cropped screenshot of the Blog's header image. The real trivia question for folks out there--where is this picture from?

No one will ever be able to guess... Smile

Hi Folks !! Smile
Well...Hadn't noticed this thread earlier..& so..although this aint my first post will still go ahead with my introduction....

I am Shubhankar, almost done (just a few days to go till the exams are done) with Chemical Engineering at NIT Trichy with excelllent acads.
Began my quest for an MBA program with the CAT 2006 examination...But ended up with no calls inspite of an overall percentile of 99.26 Sad (Blame it on my english score Sad )
Anyways...got 2 international offers through the campus placements & I will be heading to Abu Dhabi to join an Oil Field Services company sometime in June this year...
Thinking of cracking the GMAT & finding myself a place in a premier international B-school....
Got to this forum through Jonny C's thread on pagalguy regarding the Scholarships... & have so far found every reason to stick on to this forum..!!! Smile

Cheers..!!!

Shubhankar

Here is my official intro...

I am Danielle, resident of NY about 70 miles north of the city. I currently work part time for H&M (retail) while I raise our 3 young children/ Madeline is 3 1/2 and my twins Greg and Liam are 20 months. I've been married to Kevin for almost 6 years.

I've been contemplating pursuing my MBA for a few years now but got too good at making babies. Now we are DONE so I would like to pursue a graduate degree full force. I supported my husband when he went and now it is my turn.

I graduated from Boston University in 1998 with dual degrees in International Relations (BA) and Management (BSBA).

My career background is in the corporate side of retail, I went through a buying executive training program back in 1998. I have also worked briefly as a financial advisor and also workewd as a retail manager. My non-career background is in bartending, selling furniture and part time retail (currrent). My salary potential limits me from working full time as I can not afford daycare. So, it is either go back to school, get a full ride and use loan money and family help to have child care, or wait until my kids are in school and try to do "something". I am 31 so I am not getting any younger either.

I see a viable career path in Brand Management or Operations. I speak French and plan to use it, Finally! I'd love to work for Veuve Cliquot or a similar company, driving business in the US.

For schools, USC (Darla Moore) is my #1 choice as it is an international program and we also are moving to SC.... it is like it is almost sooo meant to be! I'll also be applying to a couple of other schools, notsure which ones. UNC Chapel Hill would probably be my reach.

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone better on this journey!

Danielle R.

One thing I wanted to ask you ever since you're here-

hmmmm, let's see, daniel is pronounced dan-yuhl with the accent on the first syllable. Danielle is pronounced dan-yell with the accent on the yell.

it is the feminine of Daniel which is Hebrew. I am not Jewish though, my parents liked the song Daniel by Elton John and named me after the song, albeit the feminine of it....
