Of a group of people, the ratio of number of women to men to children is 7 to 2 to 5. What is the total number of the people?
So the number of
women in the group = 7x
men in the group = 2x
children in the group = 5x
people in the group = 7x + 2x + 5x = 14x. Where X is a positive integer. The question can now be rephrased to What is the value of 14x?
IMO D
So the number of
women in the group = 7x
men in the group = 2x
children in the group = 5x
people in the group = 7x + 2x + 5x = 14x. Where X is a positive integer. The question can now be rephrased to What is the value of 14x?
7x + 5x = 12 then 14x = 14. Sufficient to answer the question.1). women + children=12
2x < 4, Implies x = 1 as(x>0 and x is an integer), then 14x = 14.Sufficient to answer the question.2). number of men is less than 4
IMO D
