Hi All,

In the Manhattan SC flash cards available at:

https://www.manhattangmat.com/pdf/FlashC ... e_2009.pdf

page#79....

The murder was an expressing of longstanding tensions.

It says the above is wrong....

Reason: "Concrete nouns (murder)and simple gerunds (expressing) cannot be made parallel."

Can someone please explain what Manhattan meant to say here ?

guess it means a noun cannot be parallel to a gerund. we must use "expression" , the noun form to make it parallel to noun-murder
