A and B traveled on the same road and at the same rate from Huntigdon to London. At the 50th Milestones from London, A overtook a drove of geese which were proceeding at the rate of 3miles in 2 hours; and two hours afterwards meet a waggon, which was moving at the rate of 9miles in 4hours. B overtook the same drove of geese at the 45th milestones and met the wagon exactly 40 minutes before he came to the 31st milestonnes. Where was B when A reached London?

close approximation it is c. but I think something is wrong in the q
how I got it is very convuluted, so will try to explain
if A met geese at 50 stone and b met geese at 45 then geese travelled 5 miles at a speed of 1.5 m/h; so the time taken by geese is 3.3 hours, in other words b started 3.3 hours later than a.
now speed of van is 1.25 m/h so in 3.3 hours it travelled aprox 4 miles, so it means A wud hv met van at 35th stone.
so speed of A is (50-35)/2hrs = 7.5/hr.
so A is ahead of B by 3.3*7.5=25
however b travelled from 45 to 31 in 40 minutes so its speed is 21 m/h.
so not sure where it is going.
what is the OA. any expert
