Dude!

I could see that you belong to IIT group(Indian IT male :D :D ) the most over-represented applicant pool,so to be frank, unless you haven't been involved in some SAVE THE WORLD kind of project, chances are less for anything below 700( to be safe, I must say 750+ especially for early career applicants)

Moreover, it also depends on the kind of program and schools you are targeting.
My advice above is to be considered only for top B-Schools.
Why don't you retake the test? I would suggest to retake if you find there is some scope of improvement.

Hi,

thanks for the inputs:) And yes, i do belong to the IIT group:)

I can take the test again but finding time to study becomes taxing.I am not sure if i will be able to take out time again to give one more shot at it.
Though i have some decent extra curriculars to my credit.Part of an online startup and editor for one of the best Indian blogs.

Do u think these kinda things l add weight to my applications!!!

The GMAT score is an important part of your app... the only thing in your control now is the GMAT score and the essays. It's up to you to make them count.

I think you should give the GMAT once more. Not having much time is simply not an excuse. You should have a serious crack at the GMAT starting TODAY.

Here's a plan. Schedule your GMAT for early Novemeber. That should suffice since your score suggests that you have the basics drilled down. Spend the first 10 days going over the following:
  • Manhattan SC book - from scratch
    Geometry, Inequalities and basic Probability
    RC strategy
Then, do at least the following daily
  • 2 RC (1 long, 1 short)
    10 CR
    15 SC
    10PS
    10 DS
Take a pratice test every 4 days.

"If I'm curt with you it's because time is a factor. I think fast, I talk fast and I need you to act fast if you wanna get out of this. So, pretty please... with sugar on top. Kick the GMAT's a**"

All the Best!
