Hi,
Can some one explain me the right sentence
Wrong: Uninterested in the lecture, the Orator put most audience to sleep.
I know this sentence is wrong because the modifier "Uninterested in the lecture" is modifying "the Oratoe" and not "the audience"
Right: The Orator put most of the audience, which was uninterested in the lecture, to sleep.
Is which the non essential modifier right or should it be who?
My answer would be: The Orator put most of the audience, who was uninterested in the lecture, to sleep
can someone tell me why it is "which" and not "who"?
Modifiers

"The Orator put most of the audience, who was uninterested in the lecture, to sleep" is wrong because it uses was instead of were because most of the audience is plural entity and what I feel is that for audience we need to use who rather than which because audience comprises of people & we need to use who for people
