Akhilesh-

Thanks for your information, and hat's off for your decision to pursue the MBA. It is always a little difficult to comment directly on one's chance of admission to individual schools, since there are so many variables. On a broader scale, I will say at first blush that as reinforcement and encouragement, you have good academic credentials (assuming you attended a top university), which is a real plus. Your GMAT score is a bit below the ever-upward-creeping average at top schools, so in order to be most competitive I would say continue to strive towards the coveted 7-handle on that score if you think you can achieve it without derailing your schedule too much. It has been a very competitive couple of years in the top tier, where many schools you listed reside. On the negative side, I willl say that your profile is very "common"--for lack of a better word, in that there are scores and scores of Indian applicants who come with an IT background to US business schools. Since all schools focus on bringing in a widely diverse student body, you will likely find yourself being evaluated in light of other applicants with a similar background to yours, and there will be many if history plays out this season as usual. You should try to seek out what makes you truly different from someone else with a similar background and bring these traits up in your applications. You may even use a strategy of identifying in the actual application the fact that you realize there are many applicants with a background like yours, and then go about highlighting how you stand out amongst them. This will be your key to success and admittance. It is good you are targeting a wide variety of schools. I am sure with your background and credentials, you will have a good shot at more than one of them, which would put you ultimately in a position to choose. Make sure you visit all the schools you can to give you insight into the programs and the ability to make a wise choice. Picking a school that is a good fit is vital to your time as a student and beyond. Good luck.

Bryant-

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I know that my GMAT is low as compared to the averages of the schools I have mentioned but can you as an expert in such cases provide me an insight that in which schools i should try to apply or like which schools can really accept me based on the information I have given to you.
You can assume that my recommendations are top- notch giving me 5/5 on almost all grounds as I have really done some quality work as a software professional which has directly contributed in growth of my project.

Thanks
