IDIOM : ability to Vs. ability for

by Pdgmat2010 » Sun May 23, 2010 5:49 am
ok, am aware that 'ability to' is correct. but is 'ability for' strictly wrong and can an answer on the test be eliminated simply if there is a mistake only in the idiom?

Cheers,

I believe so but expert can give broader knowledge.
Able to; ability to: - Tom is able to play the guitar with his toes.

I didn't see "FOR".
