Hello All,
I have just started with BTG 60 day schedule. I have given my GMATPrep #1 today. Got a 550(Q41,V26). But, I quite dont understand the scoring pattern. I got 17 incorrect out of 37 quant, still the score says 41 and 14 incorrect out 41 verbal, still it says only 26 ???Could somebody please explain.
Got a flat 550 in my first GMATPrep #1

There are weightings to the 17 you got wrong and 20 you got right that get to your 41 in quant.
The 41 is a weighted score. The weights are obviously how hard the problem is.
Don't pay attention to how many you get wrong and right overall e.g. 17 out of 37.
What matters is
1.) Your scores at the end i.e. 550(v41,q26)
2.) Where you were getting the questions wrong. e.g. did you get the first 5 wrong?

Hi Humblebee,
You must be right. But, it was nice experience at the start of preparation. What was interesting was, I did good in RC and DS, which were my weak areas. I doubt about the complexity of RC on GMATPRep. Is it representative of actual GMAT. I know GMATPRep is most accurate to GMAT. But some of the Qs in GMATPrep might not be actaul representative and I got most of my RC Qs from them !!!!
