A large rectangular pool with dimension 75 meters by 100 meters is divided, using ropes, into 20 smaller rectangular sectors of equal dimensions. What are the dimensions of each rectangular section of the pool?

1) One of the dimensions of each of the sectors is 15 meters

2) One of the dimensions of each of the sectors is 25 meters.

Wouldn't i need to know the height in order to figure this out? Please help.

is that D the answer? just a guess cos i am busy but, yeah i think its D because
first of all the area =100*75 and this large rectangular pool will divide into 20 smaller but equal rectangle with equal demisions, thus maybe the smaller area of each of the 20 rectrangles are 75*5
thus i think both 1 and 2 are sufficicnet

Thank you. It does say D is correct. What i did is L * w = 75 * 100 = 7500 area

7500/20 rectangle = 375 area per each of the 20 rectangle

1) given is 15 so , 15 * w = 375 solve for "w" which is 25. (sufficient)

2) given is 25 so visa versa to get 15. (sufficient)

Since the height has not been mentionedthe for the actual rectangular pool, we shouldn't bring it into the picture...
