(A) seems the correct answer
(B) - Wrong, courage compared to Rosa park
(C) - Wrong, courage compared to Rosa park
(D) - awkward sentence formation 'for refusing to...'
(E) - We are comparing courage of Jackie with courage of Rosa, therefore 'like' is better than 'as'
(B) - Wrong, courage compared to Rosa park
(C) - Wrong, courage compared to Rosa park
(D) - awkward sentence formation 'for refusing to...'
(E) - We are comparing courage of Jackie with courage of Rosa, therefore 'like' is better than 'as'

B, C are eliminated because courage is compared to a person
E is eliminated because the sentence would be : his courage was as that of Rosa Parks.. it does not sounds like comparison of his courage to that of Rosa Parks
out of A and D, I would go with D rather than A because of uncomfortable usage of 'not unlike' in A.

My pick is A.sanyalpritish wrote:While Jackie Robinson was a Brooklyn Dodger, his courage in the face of physical threats and verbal attacks was not unlike that of Rosa Parks, who refused to move to the back of a bus in Montgomery, Alabama.

Jackie Robinson courage is compared with that of Rosa Parks, which is correct and missing in the rest of the choices.
C and D are wrong ..the use of like changes the meaning of the sentence. E also changes the meaning of the sentence.
B is wrong for wrong comparison

This is a 1000 SC question and one of the nightmares for me always. Correct answer is A here. I am sure that I will not be wrong this time.
