What if the last game is lost? It will be a draw. Since theq uestion requires us to calculate the probability that the team will finish the season with a winning record , all three games need to be considered.heshamelaziry wrote:But the team only need ttwo wins to be 14-13 ?jaspreet_takhar wrote:The team needs to win the remaining 3 matches to get a score of 15-13..

Hope it clarifies.
Yeah it should be 1/8.
Think about it. The team is has 12 wins, 13 losses. 3 games remain.
If they win 2 and lose 1, their final record will be 14 wins, 14 losses.
So they will need to win of their remaining games. Probablily of that is 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/8.
