Multiple GMAT Scores

by deedeeg01 » Fri Dec 12, 2008 7:43 am
If you take the GMAT multiple times, do schools average your score or take the highest? Additionally, if you do not report your first score to any schools, are you required to submit that first score to the schools to which you apply?

Dear deedeeg01,

Schools do not average GMAT scores across tests nor do they pick and choose which individual scores to use from different tests. Schools use the test with the highest total score in the evaluation. Your previous 3 attempts will be on the official score report for the test you send, but the school will only consider the highest total score in the evaluation. You only need to send the official score report for the test you want the school to use in your evaluation.

Good luck,
Lisa

Thanks, Lisa. But it wouldn't be to my detriment to send reports for other tests, would it?
