Very important especially for new students

Hello everyone.

this is in regards to a topic that i think is very important for every GMAT aspirant.
I have been asked a lot of times regarding the validity of some third party sites selling GMAT study material. They also claim that the questions are GMAT like or real GMAT or hacked questions.
I am not discouraging or stopping anyone who wants to use such material but its my social responsibility to let you know that you may end up harming your own hard work. Use and distribution of such material is prohibited as per GMAC. (please read the attachment)
Besides the legal issues, as i mentioned in my last post,GMAT accepted the breach that happened few years back and they had removed those questions from the database. Hence its just a sham when people claim to have real GMAT questions, real GMAT tests or latest collection sets.......(you will never see those questions on the real test)
Ok... you might say-" I don't really see a harm in even doing questions that are not real GMAT... at least its practice material for me..."
In my long experience with GMAT, i have found that its really important to actually stick to authentic GMAT material. Vague and untrusted material confuses the student further. Remember GMAT doesn't give you anything confusing and ambiguous. It is THE MOST standardized test that you have ever seen.

all the best.

To be clear, GMAT-like material is not prohibited. Stolen GMAT material (whether sold or just used personally) and third-party material sold as official GMAT stuff are illegal.
