Veritas Prep - Using the Question Bank

by Bullzi » Sun Nov 01, 2015 1:50 am
Hello

I recently created an account on the Veritas Prep Question Bank. While the interface is very intuitive, I couldn't make out if there was a way to repeat/reset already attempted questions. I know the site offers a facility to review questions though. Any ideas..?

Thanks,
Bullzi

Hi Bullzi,

Have you posed this question to Veritas' Tech Support team (or checked the FAQ on the site?)?

Thank you for studying with the Veritas Prep Question Bank! There isn't currently a mechanism for resetting the bank, but the workaround is that since it's a free service you can always create a new account with a different username.

Since the Question Bank runs on the same tech platform as the Veritas Prep Practice Tests, we built it to ensure that the same user never sees the same question twice (we'd hate for anyone's practice test performance to be compromised that way), so that's why the settings were created somewhat rigidly there.

(And it's a question you didn't ask, but in case it's answer helps anyone else, that's also why those who plan to purchase the full set of Veritas Prep practice tests should consider doing so on the same username/account as they used the Question Bank and free practice test, so that the system remembers which questions you've seen and keeps them out of your future tests.)

Brian, would it maybe make sense to change the Question Bank so that when reviewing questions one does not see which answer choice one has chosen? Then someone could redo questions merely by going back to past quizzes, and, for instance, reviewing all the ones he or she didn't get the first time.
