IDIOM --> To prevent X from Y

(X but Y, where X and Y should be parallel)

e) Antecedant of whose is not clear
d)annual and each year are redundant, they do not have claer antecedant.
c)annual and each year are redundant
b)Supporters are denounced by critics, meaning issue

"weakens" is going to "corporate welfare".. Hence, it's correct
