Hi all.
a little bit disppointing indeed. I think the low score in AWA is partly due to my failure to construct a 350+ words essay in 30 mins. what should I do? am I supposed to take the test again? or it is ok for most of the top B-school master programmes?
Need some help. Very appreciate it.
total 740 AWA 4.0 do I need to retest?

you got a 740 and you are seriously considering taking it again? LOL...you're fine. Just make sure that your application essays are good and that you can communicate well during your interview and you will be fine.

Agreed.
As someone who loves the AWA as much as anyone does, and have written about it a great amount... I can say with confidence that you should take your 740 and move on to apply to B-school confidently.
Congrats!
