Dear ISB Applicants,

R1 applications are done with and it is time for the R2 applicants to pull up their socks. Competition is going to be tough in R2 and you need to prove that you are tougher. Here are some basic guidelines to develop a good Essay-1 for your ISB application. There is no formula for a good essay and creativity is the key to success. Feel free to discuss specific questions in the context of the essay.

Read what our experts have to say:

Essay 1: Attitude, skills and knowledge differentiate people. Elaborate with two examples on how you would differentiate yourself.

What do you bring to the table. Your strengths and the learning from your failures. Common mistakes students do is give an overview of a challenging situation they were in and how did they step in to their bosses shoes and solved it. Instead, they should dwell little deeper in trying to explain their traits such as leadership thought process, perseverance and basic common sense in understanding the problem apart from being a great team player. Applicants may also want to discuss additional certifications or learning and how they used them at the job.
