It looks simple question, once you draw a diagram in front of you. I could get the answer in 55 sec.
Do you think, this type of questions will be there in real test?
So far I am pretty bad ( 3 to 4 min for each question in an average) related to timing in quanti & verbal both. Can any one guide me how I can improve the timing.
I am just starting the preparation. I can answer 60% correct in diagnostic test in official guide -13th edition with the above timing.

Can anyone help in in timing. I think I can correct more if I practice more, but how to handle timing?

Thanks in advance.

4*{(36/4)-2*1}

= 4*(9-2)

= 4*7

= 28

(A) 27
(B) 27 1/2
(C) 28
(D) 31 1/2
(E) 32

OA is C
A square picture frame has an outer perimeter of 36 inches
i.e. Perimeter of square = 4a = 36
i.e. a = 9 [a is the side of square

is 1 inch wide on all sides
i.e. the side has to be reduced by 1 inch on both sides so effective side length of inner square = 9 - 2 = 7

i.e. Perimeter of inner Square = 4 x 7 = 28

Answer: Option C
